Have you ever wondered how chatbots can interpret what you are saying? This is because of what is known as machine learning algorithms. They are the unique computer brains. They assist the chatbots to be trained by the interactions that they have with individuals. The more that they know, the more they grow! They can even know how you are feeling and treat you how you want to be treated.

I have always thought that it is super interesting how some AI chatbots work very well, and others perform particularly badly.

I have a prime example of this myself from the past few days. Having an issue with an order on Amazon, I went through to their AI chatbot and was able to get my order refund processed within a matter of about 30 seconds from start to finish, and Amazon refunded the money into my bank within around six hours. However, today I had an issue with PayPal, after I received a payment of £21 but my balance only increased to £11, so I reached out to their Live Chat and was directed to an AI chatbot who when I submitted my question immediately replied that they didn't know what I was asking and so were sending my message to a human. It took me a few minutes to actually get them to send the question through, and now eight hours on and I haven't had a response yet.

This just goes to show, in my opinion anyhow, how some companies are so much further ahead in the development and use of AI in their customer service operations. Amazon must be saving so much money purely just in manhours and wages by having a semi-automated system like this.
