It's possible to use the website version of ChatGPT or the application version. I started using the website version before switching to using the app. I must confess the app version is better.

I don't use the Chatgpt apps often. I use the websites more. I have actually experienced both worlds but I seems to enjoy the web version more.

Personally, I use the ChatGPT web version on my laptop, which is much better when I'm aiming for long-form content like blogs or articles. When I'm on the go, I use the app, but only for quick queries. I never use the app for longer conversations or writing. I'd say about 98% of my usage is on the web, and only 2% is on the app. :D

I use the app version of Chatgpt. I haven’t tried the web version of it.

I’ve been thinking about upgrading to the paid version of Chatgpt, but I’m not sure yet. Does anyone here use the paid version?

Oh wow, so you’ve never used the web version? That’s interesting!

Personally, I love the web version, it’s super easy to use and perfect for writing longer content. The mobile app is good too, but I find it a bit tricky for bigger projects. It’s great for quick questions, though.

I actually bought the paid version of ChatGPT for the second time this month for a coding project I’m working on. I’ll probably cancel it again next month since the free version is already really good and does almost everything I need. The only reason I got the paid plan this time was because I needed to upload a big zip file full of code and get some help with it. Honestly, I love the paid version, it’s like having a professor at my fingertips, and I’m learning a ton from it. But as soon as I’m done with this project, I’ll switch back to the free version. :D

When I have used ChatGPT I have always used the web version available at ChatGPT.com... if I'm completely honest, I didn't know there was an app until I read this post just now!

Is the app a paid feature or is it available freely aswell? Is there anything available on the paid version, aside from obviously the limits not being there, that would justify the upgrade from the free version, in your opinions? :)

Hi @fdk1971 glad this post introduced you to the app, better late than never, right? :)

The ChatGPT app is available for free, just like the web version, so you can dive right in without spending a dime. It’s super handy for when you’re on the go and need some AI-powered brilliance in your pocket!

Now, about the paid version (ChatGPT Plus): it does come with a few perks that might tempt you. For $20/month, you get access to GPT-4, which is a more advanced and capable model compared to the free GPT-3.5. It’s like upgrading from a trusty bicycle to a sleek electric scooter, it’ll get you there faster and with a bit more style! :D

Aside from that, the paid version also offers priority access during peak times, so you won’t be stuck waiting when everyone else decides they suddenly need AI help at the same time. If you’re a heavy user or work on projects that require a bit more AI horsepower, it might be worth considering.

But to be honest, the free version is still awesome and packs plenty of punch for most use cases. I would say do not upgrade to paid version unless you really need to. It’s all about what you need! Let me know if you try the app, would love to hear your thoughts!
