So, it looks like Meta AI is making its way into even more countries. If you’ve been keeping up with Ray-Ban’s smart glasses, you probably already know that Meta AI was introduced in them a little while ago. But up until now, its availability has been kind of limited. Well, good news for those in Europe, Meta just announced that it’s expanding the virtual assistant feature to a few new countries.
Starting November 18, Meta revealed that Ray-Ban’s smart glasses with Meta AI are now available in France, Italy, Ireland, and Spain. This means that users in these countries can now interact with the virtual assistant to get real-time answers to general questions, just by using their voice. Imagine asking for directions, the weather, or even trivia while you’re on the go, how cool is that?
However, there’s a small catch. While you can ask general questions, the feature that allows the assistant to answer questions based on what you're currently looking at is still limited to the US and Canada. So, if you were hoping to get real-time info on your surroundings, you'll have to wait a bit longer.
The good news is that Meta AI is already available in English, French, Italian, and Spanish, so users in these countries can talk to the assistant in their native languages. And Meta is planning to expand this even further, hoping to bring the feature to more European countries soon. Plus, they’re working on making the AI smarter, which means the smart glasses are likely to get even more useful with time.
Meta’s excited about the future of AI in their smart glasses and wants to keep pushing the boundaries. So, what do you think about this expansion? Are you excited to try out Meta AI on your Ray-Ban glasses, or do you think there’s still a long way to go before this tech becomes mainstream? Let’s me know in the comments below!
